Broker Website Platform

Fusion Online (a previous employer of mine) manages the Saskbrokers Website Platform which is a platform for members of the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan to obtain and maintain affordable websites that meet the organization’s requirements for an online presence. This platform is built on top of the WordPress CMS and consists of over 100 broker websites that run a mixture of five different themes that can be customized to varying degrees along with two feature adding plugins.

My role in managing this platform was to maintain the servers that it ran on along with the WordPress installations, themes, and plugins that powered it. As a part of this role, I rewrote each theme and plugin to conform to modern standards and integrate more closely with the platform as a whole implementing features like automatic updates and one-click deployment of new code to the entire platform.
